*Giclee (pronounced "zhee-clay") is a French term used to describe the method of fine art printing where the images are scanned and sent directly to a high-resolution printer.  A unique "continuous-tone" technology creates a print by giclee (literally a "spray of ink") in which the IRIS (Intense Resolution Imaging System) transfers ink at a rate of 4 million, 15 micron droplets per second to any of a variety of archival museum quality papers.  This state-of-the -art technology provides brilliant color and incredible details with higher resolution than traditional lithography.  Current data on ink longevity can be found at www.wilhelm-research.com
